1. What this disclosure is
This page explains the AI labels and reminders in NYVELLE. Character replies are generated by software and can be inaccurate.
2. Transparency
The Service labels its characters as AI and presents reminders in the conversation. These controls explain what you are interacting with; they do not establish that an AI response is accurate or safe to rely on.
3. Where the reminder appears in the app
- On every character card and profile: "Fictional AI character".
- In the chat header: an "AI character" badge.
- When you start chatting each day: "You are not communicating with a human. NYVELLE characters are AI, and they can make mistakes. AI companion chatbots may not be suitable for some minors."
- After every three hours of continued use: a reminder inside the conversation that you are not communicating with a human.
- If you sincerely ask a character whether it is a human or an AI, it is instructed to answer honestly that it is an AI.
- In every footer of this website.
4. What we do not claim
NYVELLE characters do not love you, think about you when the app is closed, or exist outside the conversation. The app has no feature that messages you unprompted to draw you back. We do not market the Service as therapy, as a remedy for isolation, or as a relationship. NYVELLE does not provide therapy, counselling, diagnosis or any other mental-health service, and no character is a licensed professional, even if a story casts it as a doctor or counsellor. It is interactive fiction for adults.
5. Safety responses
If a message suggests someone may be at risk of suicide, self-harm, harming others or an eating disorder, the app shows a support card with crisis resources, and you can keep chatting (Crisis protocol). For that reply, the character is also given an instruction to respond with care.
